rest is good.
rest with god is best.
Jesus is invitational. Its who He is. We are invited not only to rest but into Rest.
"Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat."
His burden is light.
What is asked of us is not complicated or heavy, even if we make it so. His request is simple. His heart for us made clear. "28Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
are you resting?
He created all, saw it was good, and then rested. He sets a great example for us to make sure we are intentionally resting. Not just not working or not doing anything, but actual rest. Putting ourselves in times and places to be filled by Him, to experience Rest.
OUR MANTRA
We believe God is for everyone. One Til Everyone for us means that we keep praying, releasing, working, going, living, areaching out, for each person until everyone has encountered Him.
THE CHURCH
The Church is not a building, that's what we gather together in. The Church has always meant to be an expression of who God is and what He's done. We are meant to love as He loves, see as He sees, do as He does. We are not perfect. When we mess up we want to be the first to confess, repent, receive forgiveness, and extend forgiveness. We celebrate together and grieve together, grow together and gather together. Our heart is for Him to be displayed and glorified in us and through us. It is only through relationship with Him that we will see Heaven here on earth, our communities transformed into His image.
Let His Kingdom come.
MATTHEW 6:9-13
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
