The Vine has supported Sarah Mondlane since 2008. She started working in an orphanage in Mozambique, Africa, but has since worked with a mission's agency called Masana in the capital city of Mozambique called Maputo. Mozambique frequently ranks as the poorest nation on the planet. Sarah, Roberto (Sarah's husband), Melina, and Maya Fe (their daughters), work among the homeless boys in Maputo. In essence, they work among the poorest-of-the-poor! Jesus said, "That which you've done to the least of these, you have done to me." These are the least, and the Mondlane family seek to introduce these homeless boys to the family of God and reintegrate them into the family of origin.

For security reasons, we cannot tell you the exact location or name of this family. They are workers in the Middle East, and they work primarily among Muslim people. Their family shares the gospel of Jesus in relevant ways, but primarily through relationships. They have seen a number of Muslims commit their life to Jesus as their Savior and Lord. In addition to working among Muslims, they operate a school where they train workers to replicate this disciple-making ministry in other parts of the Middle East.

They sense the call to be on the faculty of the Black Forest Academy in Germany that serves as a school for missionary kids. The reason this school exists is because many of the parents of these children are missionaries in countries that are not safe for western children or do not have a means of proper education. When Jesus referred to "the least," He very well could have included these children.

This family just added their second child as they serve in Southeast Asia. Pete is a missionary pilot. He pilots for two primary groups, but one primary purpose. The first group are missionaries. The second group are dignitaries and leaders in his area. Regardless of the group, Pete pilots for the purpose of sharing the gospel among an unreached people group.
