Throughout the Bible, God calls us to bring our tithes and offerings back to Him by giving to His Church. A clear example of this is found in Malachi 3:10 which says: Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

The word tithe means a tenth or 10 percent and it’s what we bring back to God as recognition that we know that everything comes from Him and belongs to Him. When we bring the first 10% of our income back to God, we're showing Him that we trust Him with the rest. When we bring God our first and best, God will bless the rest.
