AMIGOS FOR CHRIST

NICARAGUA

According to the Amigos for Christ website, 'The need in Nicaragua is great; it’s the second poorest country in the western hemisphere. Kidney disease kills more people each year than in any other nation. Most children don’t finish the sixth grade. Skin disease, parasites, and respiratory disease run rampant. Improved health and family life is impossible to achieve alone, yet hope remains.'

The Amigos for Christ team 'works shoulder-to-shoulder with Nicaraguan neighbors to bring clean water, healthcare, education, and economic opportunity to rural communities in need.'  Whether it is digging clean water wells, building modern toilets, investing in economically beneficial agricultural opportunities, or teaching the next generation, the Amigos team does it all to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with the people of rural Nicaragua.

The Mondlane family

mozambique

Over a decade ago, Sarah moved to Mozambique with a heart for orphans and boys living on the street. Her passion has always been to restore the hearts of children to the Father, and in every way her life has been leveraged to reconcile those she meets with the Father-heart of God. She is now married to Roberto and they have two precious little girls, Melina and Maya Fe. Together, they love and serve the street boys in Maputo, Mozambique.

A few years after Sarah arrived in Mozambique, she and some like-minded friends began a ministry sharing the love of Jesus and helpful resources to boys living on the streets of the capital city, Maputo. The ministry, called Masana, now includes weekly outreach opportunities, medical help, and a transitional home designed to prepare boys who are ready to reconcile to their families.

middle east

Our global partners in the Middle East work diligently to help provide education, medical attention, and other resources to refugees who live in their area.  Over the last decade and a half, the constant conflict within the Middle East has caused many people to flee their home country's in hope for a better, safer life. Thanks to the constant love and work of our global partners, refugees in the Middle East experience the hope of Jesus in tangible ways.

Pray for refugees to know the love and hope of Jesus, that Holy Spirit would draw hearts to the knowledge of Jesus as Lord & Savior. For their hearts and minds to experience peace from God despite the continuing violence and heartbreak they have known.

Pray for our global partners to be strengthened from the Lord to continue the work they are led to do, whether in providing medical care, education opportunities, or in praying for the miraculous. Pray that the Lord would provide a hedge of protection and clear direction in times of decision-making.
